2024 APEC Urban Sustainable Development Conference for Science & Technology Innovation APEC (INPUT2) Competition Workshop
Overview

On January 10, 2024, the “2024 APEC Urban Sustainable Development Conference for Science & Technology Innovation APEC (INPUT2) Competition Workshop” was held at the Shanghai International Convention Center. The conference is the offline communication activity of “Innovating for Public Urban Technology Transformation Competition, INPUT2’”.

With the theme of “Technology promotes innovation, Advance toward a more prosperous Asia-Pacific region”, the conference was attended by nearly 200 participants from 10 APEC economies, including China, Hong Kong China, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Peru, Chile, Mexico, etc.

40 Projects Receive APSTI Awards

As of September 30, 2023, a total of 108 projects were submitted by government organizations, research institutes and enterprises from six economies, including China, Hong Kong China, Mexico, Malaysia, Peru, and Thailand, which were evaluated by a panel of 13 experts from six economies, namely, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, and Hong Kong, China, and resulted in the “APEC PPSTI Prize for Science & Technology Innovation (APSTI) “, including the Gold Award, Silver Award, Start-up Award, Special Contribution Award, Best Innovative Award, Best Practice Award, Excellence Award and Finalist Award, totaling 40 projects.

Parallel Workshops

Three parallel workshops were held on the same day of the conference, covering topics such as “Green and low-carbon transformation; Environmental governance and ecological protection; Urban low-carbon application scenarios”, ” Urban transportation and new energy applications; Transportation planning and intelligent transportation systems; Intelligent networking; Autonomous driving technology”, “Digital Transformation and Urban Governance”. and other topics, invited experts, scholars and industry leaders from various related fields to share their views, a total of 37 winning projects also sent representatives to report and exchange on the participating projects.
